• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Jupiter Waterway Mbr of the Murdock Station Fm, Hawthorn Grp, which is overlain by the Sarasota Mbr of the Murdock Station Fm, and subsequently, the Tamiami or Fort Thompson Fms. Correlative with the Yorktown, Goose Neck, and Duplin Fms. THICKNESS: Varies between 1 and 10 m across areal extent. AGE: Early Pliocene. Based on macrofossil biostratigraphy the unit is throught to represent the early to early Zanclean. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Checklist representative of entire member.

Environment/lithology: lagoonal or restricted shallow subtidal; unlithified, pebbly, phosphatic, shelly/skeletal, brown, gray, sandy, calcareous claystone

• ENVIRONMENT: carbonate lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal environment; shallow sandy bottom lagoon.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Gray, or brownish-gray clay, with varying amounts of gray quartz sand and containing a high percentage of black phosphorite and phosphate coated pebbles. LITHIFICATION: Unlithified, based on figured specimens.
